When/how/where can I contact the student council?
You can reach us by email and on site in the student council room. You can find our opening hours on the Contact page. If you are at the university anyway, you can also drop by outside opening hours to see if someone is present.
Do you send out old exams?
We are not allowed to circulate old exams digitally and do not send them by post. This means you have to come by the student council room.
Exam protocols of oral exams, especially MVMOD, can be sent digitally, please send an email to fachschaft@mathphys.info. Please include the following information:
- Your name & uni-id
- the module you’re looking for
- the lecturer (optional)
The processing time for emails is typically at least several days. Therefore, please send an email at least two weeks before your oral exam. Keep in mind that requests must be processed manually. Therefore please limit your requests, especially in regards to examiners.
How does the start of studies work?

How do I submit examination reports?
Please send us your exam report as a PDF, and if possible the .tex-file, by email.
Exam failed, what to do?
In principle, the examination regulations under which you are studying determine how often you can retake an examination if you have failed it.
Even if you failed your last attempt, it is possible to submit an application to retake the examination (“Härtefallantrag”) in order to prevent exmatriculation and the loss of the right to take the examination.
Please inform yourself first on the sites of your institute and contact us if you have any further questions.
Why am I not getting a reply to my e-mail?
We generally try to reply to you within a few days. However, if you have not received one for more than a week, please send us a follow-up.
Do I have to be able to program at the start of my studies?
Programming skills are not required at the beginning of any of our 3 degree programs, but are covered in all of them.
How can I give anonymous feedback on an online lecture?
For anonymous, constructive feedback on lectures and events of all kinds, we have set up the Kummerkasten again this semester, which you can NOT access directly right now.
The “Kummerkasten“ is currently undergoing a rework and is therefore not available.
